ChildCareTX

For childcare providers

Every licensed program in Texas is already listed here, with the state's own inspection record, whether or not you ever talk to us. What you can add is the part the state does not publish: whether you have a place today.

Claiming is free and always will be

A claimed listing lets you correct your hours and ages, confirm your openings, and publish a response beside any citation on your record. We would rather have accurate data than a subscription from a program that cannot spare one.

Inquiries are never charged for

There is no per-inquiry fee and no cap. A parent's question reaches you by email whether you subscribe or not, because a directory where half the programs never answer is no use to the parent reading it. What a subscription buys is everything around that: the inbox that keeps them, your tuition and photos on your page, and the paid slot if you want one.

We considered charging per inquiry and decided against it. It would have meant a paying program paying more than the free listing next door for the same families, which is not a bill anybody should have to explain.

Why a parent is on your page

They came for the state inspection record and the price of care in your city, which are the two things nobody publishes clearly. They stay for the one thing only you can answer: whether there is a place for their child's age, now. A program that confirms its openings weekly is the program that gets the inquiry.

Questions

Something on our record is wrong. Can you fix it?

Not directly, and that is the honest answer: we publish the state's data as the state recorded it, so a correction has to go through Texas HHSC first and then reaches us on the next nightly refresh. In the meantime you can publish a response beside the item, free, and we will help you word nothing, because it is your statement, not ours.

Will paying move us up the list?

It puts you in a separate block at the top of your city page that is labeled Paid placement and says plainly that it is not a recommendation. It does not reorder the main list, which stays ordered by recently confirmed openings and then licensed capacity. If that is not worth the money to you, do not buy it.
